Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Depalletizer/QA associate to monitor quality and oversee depalletizing operations on the production line. The role includes QA inspections, data collection, and SAP inventory tasks.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and offers a night shift with a starting rate of $18.50 per hour, increasing to $22.67 after 90 days, plus vacation after one year of service. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Forklift Operator License within 30 days of hiring.

Responsabilités

• Configures Depalletizer for daily production.
• Performs QA inspections on each pallet before line entry.
• Reports QA issues to Supervisor promptly.
• Collects data for each pallet that enters the line.
• Performs Scantrack EBI glass inspection tests and controls test jars.
• Reports mechanical problems and completes work orders as needed.
• Cleans all glass breaks from the immediate area.
• Inspects EBI reject jars and collects data.
• Sanitizes glass conveyor and rinser areas.
• Uses scanners or thin clients to enter SAP transactions for inventory and traceability.
• Handles cleaning chemicals safely with required PPE.
• Completes paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Follows GMPs and sanitation requirements.
• Assists in training new operators.
• Work in a team-based structure and contribute positively.

General Purpose:

Monitors the quality assurance of glass jars loaded onto the production line and oversees the computer and mechanical functions of the Depalletizing unit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Configures Depalletizer for daily production.
• Performs quality assurance inspections on each pallet before placing onto the line to ensure that problem glass does not enter the line.
• Reports quality assurance issues to Supervisor as they occur.
• Collects data relating to each pallet of jars that enter onto the line.
• Performs Scantrack EBI glass inspection tests and maintains control of all test jars.
• Reports any mechanical problems and completes work orders when necessary.
• Cleans all glass breaks in the immediate work area as they occur.
• Inspects EBI reject jars and collects data.
• Sanitizes glass conveyor/rinser areas.
• Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.
• Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
• Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Performs items on Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
• Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
• Assists in training new operator.
• Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Shift Hours - 10pm - 6am - Monday - Friday ===Some Saturdays may be required based on product demand
• Starting Rate - $18.50 /.50/hour Shift Differential with Start Times after 2pm
• Rate Increase to $22.67 After 90 Day
• 40 Hours Vacation After (1) Year of Service

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to attain Forklift Operator License within 30 days of hiring.

Pay Range

$18.50 to start, Increase after 90 days
