Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a US Deorbit Vehicle GNC Simulation Engineer in Houston to support the USDV team. You will provide math modeling, simulation development, and GN&C verification for ISS visiting vehicle operations under the JETS II contract.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 2–5 years of related experience, with Linux/C/C++/FORTRAN/Python expertise and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Linux, C/C++, FORTRAN, and Python.
• Experience with version control systems (Git/GitLab).
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics and GN&C principles.
• Ability to develop, verify, and validate math models and simulations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; able to work in a multi-company team.
• Leadership abilities for coordinating an integration team.

Responsibilities

• Provide math modeling, simulation development, integration, and testing of USDV GN&C systems.
• Perform simulation verification and documentation of results.
• Create and deliver math model and simulation documentation.
• Identify tasks, resolve simulation issues, and assist team members.
• Interact with NASA customers and contractors during meetings.
• Maintain relationships with a diverse technical team; perform other duties as required.
