Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is seeking an Audit Staff in Denver, CO to work on a variety of engagements under supervision. You will engage clients, develop accounting skills, and contribute to audit deliverables.

You will prepare workpapers, financial statements, and audit checklists while coordinating with in-charges and clients, with travel as needed and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Masters degree is preferred.
• CPA certification or eligibility to obtain CPA license is expected.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime during peak cycles.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements alongside clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
