Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry invites applications for a faculty position in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry. The role focuses on clinical instruction, supervision of predoctoral students, and teaching residents and advanced education trainees at our pediatric dentistry clinics and hospital service.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD from CODA-accredited US/Canada dental school.
• Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry CODA accredited.
• Meets eligibility for certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
• Current or eligible for Minnesota Dental License.

Responsibilities

• Clinical instruction and supervision of predoctoral dental education students rotating through the Division of Pediatric Dentistry clinical sites.
• Clinical teaching with pediatric dentistry residents and other advanced education residents at the University of Minnesota Pediatric Dental Clinic.
• Attending for the pediatric dentistry hospital service at MHealth Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital, including assignment to the operating room and hospital call.
• Provide academic offerings (lectures, seminars, case-based presentations, etc) for pediatric dentistry residents, predoctoral dental education students, and advanced education dental residents
• Participate in the administration of the pediatric dentistry residency program and the predoctoral pediatric dentistry courses
• Participate in committee work as appointed by the division director
• Faculty advisor for resident and student research projects conducted by the Division of Pediatric Dentistry
• Participate in continuing education programs provided by the Division of Pediatric Dentistry
• Up to one day a week of external private practice is negotiable at the time of offer
