Parker Jewish Institute is seeking a per diem Dentist to join our team of professionals in our on-site patient clinics, located in New Hyde Park, NY.
In this vital clinical role working alongside caring, dedicated, and experienced medical leadership and reporting to the Director of Clinic Operations,the Dentist is responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of quality dental care of Parker's residents and patients.
Key Tasks Include:
Screens new admissions; prescribes dental regimen of care
Review x-rays and treatment plans
Re-examines, re-evaluates and modifies dental plan as necessary
Consults with other members of the disciplinary team in order to affect an appropriate and viable care plan
Assigns schedules and work assignments to Dental Department staff
Generates encounter forms/billing sheets for all patient contacts

Required Qualifications:
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Fully licensed to practice dentistry in NYS with current registration
At least three (3) years of direct patient care experience as a Dentist
Prior experience working with the geriatric population preferred
Communicates effectively with others; is cooperative and helpful
