Job summary

Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc. is seeking a compassionate Dentist for a per diem role in Buffalo, NY. This position offers flexibility up to 19 hours per week to support patient-centered care across our clinic.

Responsibilities include delivering general dentistry, preventive and restorative services, and maintaining comprehensive patient records. NY license, DEA registration, and BLS/CPR are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Dental Medicine degree from an accredited university.
• Current NYS dental license to practice.
• At least one year of experience as a staff Dentist.
• Current DEA registration.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general dentistry, diagnostic, preventive, and restorative services.
• Refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers for evaluation when necessary.
• Maintain thorough patient care records including medications, allergies, data, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Oversee dental care quality standards through QA and peer audits.
• Educate patients on diagnosis, treatment plans, and outcomes.
• Address patient inquiries promptly and communicate respectfully with patients and colleagues.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and carry out other duties as needed.

• At least one (1) year of experience working as a staff Dentist

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in electronic health records systems is a plus
