Qualifications

Join to apply for the Dentist - Per Diem role at Harbor Health Services, Inc.

Harbor Health Services seeks Dentists to join our Per Diem pool (on-call as needed) at our Dental Center locations including Dorchester, Plymouth, Hyannis, and Dennis, MA. We have day, evening, and some Saturday shifts available at most Dental Centers.

Our Dental Center locations include:

• Geiger Gibson Community Health Center, 250 Mt. Vernon Street, Dorchester, MA
• Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth, 10 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth
• Harbor Community Health Center-Hyannis, 735 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA
• Ellen Jones Community Dental Center, 516 Route 134 Patriot Square, Dennis, MA

Role:

The Dentist works within a team to provide dental care for outpatients, focusing on preventive care, oral health, and overall health. The dentist diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth and gums.

Responsibilities:

• Determine and implement effective treatment plans for patients, including impressions for dentures, extracting diseased teeth, repairing cavities, root canals, etc.
• Advise and educate patients about dental health practices.
• Coordinate with other patient service managers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Enter all pertinent information into patient records promptly and accurately.
• Report to work or remain on duty during emergency operations if required.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an approved dental school or eligibility for limited licensure
• Preferred 3 years of experience as a Dentist
• Current Massachusetts License (or eligible for limited license)
• Current BLS Certification
• Current MCSR and DEA registration

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Provide functional supervision of dental assistants, hygienists, students, externs, and residents as assigned or as a designee in the absence of the Lead Dentist.
