Qualifications

• Must hold a dental license
• 2+ years of practice as a dentist
• Experience with advanced dental procedures (implants, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry) preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat dental diseases and disorders of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity.
• Perform procedures: cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and more.
• Develop and discuss individualized treatment plans with patients.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, diet, and lifestyle impacts on dental health.
• Take diagnostic X-rays and administer local anesthesia when needed.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper sterilization and infection control.
• Support and mentor dental staff to ensure smooth office operations.

Job Description

• Diagnose and treat dental diseases, conditions, and disorders of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity.
• Perform dental procedures, such as cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and more.
• Develop treatment plans based on patient needs and discuss available options with patients to ensure they understand their choices.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle choices that impact dental health.
• Perform comprehensive exams and take diagnostic X-rays as necessary.
• Administer local anesthesia and sedatives when required to ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Keep accurate patient records, documenting all treatments, diagnoses, and progress.
• Work with dental assistants to ensure that patients are prepared for procedures and that proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
• Manage patient anxiety and ensure a calm and comfortable environment.
• Stay updated on the latest dental practices, tools, and technologies, and integrate new techniques when appropriate.
• Adhere to all relevant safety and infection control protocols in accordance with state regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in patient consultations, answering questions and providing professional opinions on treatment options.
• Supervise and mentor dental support staff, ensuring that office operations run smoothly.
