Job summary

State of Nebraska's Correctional Services invites a licensed Dentist to join the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution in Tecumseh, Nebraska. You will perform exams of inmates' teeth and supporting oral health services, including X-rays, restorations, and extractions, while maintaining ACA-aligned standards.

Salary is based on experience, with an additional $3.00/hour facility differential. The package includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Degree in Dentistry, licensed to practice Dentistry in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic exams of inmate's teeth, gingiva and oral mucous for infections and diseases, and prepare charts for same.
• Diagnose diseases and lesions, take X-rays and prepare study models as necessary.
• Provide restorative dentistry.
• Conduct oral surgery through the administration of anesthesia and the extraction of teeth by incision, excision and extirpation.
• Administer drugs orally, topically, by injection and/or prescription.
