Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a licensed Dentist (DDS or DMD) to join our client’s medical facility. The role offers full-time schedules with 10-hour shifts and a Monday–Friday pattern, no weekends, in a correctional health setting.

You will provide dental screenings and treatments to incarcerated individuals, diagnose and treat dental diseases, perform exams with diagnostic tools, and supervise dental staff while documenting services. Travel stipends may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in the state in which the position is located.
• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• 1+ years of relevant Dentist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide incarcerated individuals with dental screening and treatment.
• Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures.
• Perform exams, utilize diagnostic procedures and instruments.
• Clean, fill, extract and replace teeth, design and build crowns, bridges and other oral structures.
• Prescribe medications.
• Provide clinical supervision of dental assistants and other staff assigned to the clinic, document services provided.

DDS/DMD Duties

• Provide incarcerated individuals with dental screening/treatment
• Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth gums and related oral structures
• Perform exams, utilize diagnostic procedures and instruments
• Clean, fill, extract and replace teeth, design and build crowns, bridges and other oral structures
• Prescribe medications
• Plan programs of exams and treatments
• Provide clinical supervision of dental assistant and other staff assigned to the clinic, document services provided.

DDS/DMD Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing
• 1+ years of relevant Dentist (DDS or DMD) experience
