Job summary

Affordable Dental is seeking an experienced and compassionate Dentist to join our Van Nuys, CA practice. You will diagnose oral health conditions, develop treatment plans, and perform a wide range of procedures while educating patients on oral hygiene.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary between $180,000 and $320,000 per year, plus incentives for advanced treatments. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with a supportive team and modern facilities.

Qualifications

Licensed dentist with active license in California.
2+ years of clinical dental experience.
Experience with a broad range of dental procedures.
DEA registration and CPR/BLS certifications.
Residency training in dental specialties as listed in credentials.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat diseases, conditions, and disorders of teeth, gums, and oral cavity.
Perform procedures: cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and more.
Develop personalized treatment plans and discuss options with patients.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, diet, and lifestyle impacts on dental health.
Take diagnostic X-rays and administer local anesthesia or sedation when needed.
Collaborate with hygienists and staff to ensure comprehensive care.

Job Description

Diagnose and treat dental diseases, conditions, and disorders of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity.
Perform dental procedures, such as cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, and more.
Develop treatment plans based on patient needs and discuss available options with patients to ensure they understand their choices.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle choices that impact dental health.
Perform comprehensive exams and take diagnostic X-rays as necessary.
Administer local anesthesia and sedatives when required to ensure patient comfort during procedures.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Keep accurate patient records, documenting all treatments, diagnoses, and progress.
Work with dental assistants to ensure that patients are prepared for procedures and that proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
Manage patient anxiety and ensure a calm and comfortable environment.
Stay updated on the latest dental practices, tools, and technologies, and integrate new techniques when appropriate.
Adhere to all relevant safety and infection control protocols in accordance with state regulations and guidelines.
Participate in patient consultations, answering questions and providing professional opinions on treatment options.
Supervise and mentor dental support staff, ensuring that office operations run smoothly.
