Job summary

42North Dental in Torrington, CT seeks a General Dentist to provide comprehensive patient care, from exam and diagnosis to delivery of in-office treatments across periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics.

The position can be part-time or full-time, with typical hours 8AM-5PM, 2–5 days per week, and compensation up to 36% of collections. Benefits include health and dental coverage, 401K, CE opportunities, and more.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA accredited program.
• Current state dental license to practice.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret X-rays and other diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain the highest standard of care and ethics in dentistry.
• Keep up-to-date with new developments and continuing education.
