Job summary

Gentle Dental in Vista, CA is seeking a part-time General Dentist with a strong endodontic focus to join our established practice. The role centers on root canal therapy within general dentistry, supported by an internal referral network and modern technology.

You will work 1 day per week with potential to add days based on patient demand, while maintaining clinical autonomy and teamwork within a multi-specialty environment.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Active California dental license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Current DEA registration and CPR certification.
• Experience and confidence performing endodontic procedures.
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based dentistry and exceptional patient care.
• Interest in building an endodontic-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform root canal therapy on anterior teeth, premolars and molars.
• Conduct endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provide emergency endodontic care when needed.
• Carry out pulpotomies and pulpectomies and core buildups.
• Manage dental pain and patient comfort.
• Collaborate with specialists for complex cases.

Depending on your experience and comfort level, procedures may include root canal therapy on anterior teeth, premolars and molars, endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning, emergency endodontic care, pulpotomies and pulpectomies, core buildups, and management of dental pain.

For cases requiring specialty-level treatment, you will also have the ability to collaborate with our network of specialists.
