Job summary

The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) in Shelton, WA, seeks a full-time, permanent Dentist to join the Health Services team at Washington Corrections Center (WCC). The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring adherence to DOC policies, the WA State Health Plan, and DOC Dental Services protocols.

This role aims to improve patient health and reduce recidivism through quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Dentist in State of Washington (WA).
• A valid BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Possession of unrestricted DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.
• Must comply with health screening including TB testing unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat dental diseases and provide preventive care.
• Perform periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthetics and operative procedures.
• Delegate clinical duties to dental assistants and hygienists per WA laws.
