Job summary

Washington Corrections Center (WCC) in Shelton, WA, is seeking a full-time Dentist to join the Health Services team. The role provides comprehensive dental care to incarcerated individuals and requires adherence to state laws, health plans, and DOC protocols.

The position reports to Health Services and Chief of Dentistry, with responsibility for supervising dental staff and ensuring high-quality clinical care within a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Dentist in Washington.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Possession of unrestricted DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.
• Must comply with health screening requirements including tuberculosis testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide medically necessary dental care to incarcerated patients.
• Supervise dental assistants and dental hygienists.
• Perform duties per WA State Laws, RCW/WAC and DOC policies.
• Delegate clinical duties to dental staff in accordance with WA State Laws.
• Deliver comprehensive dental services including diagnostics, prevention, endodontics, surgery, and prosthetics.
