Job summary

HAN Staff in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Dentist for a full-time contract position in a correctional healthcare setting. The role pays $182 per hour on a 1099 basis and involves examining and treating patients, taking X-rays, and developing treatment plans.

You will work eight- or twelve-hour shifts, may require weekends, and will supervise dental staff while maintaining infection control standards. A CO license and 2 years of dental experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Dentist.
  • Copy of PSV from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral health.
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions and diseases.
  • Perform fillings, extractions, crowns, and other dental procedures.
  • Develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Take and review dental X-rays and diagnostic images.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
  • Prescribe medications when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
  • Supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants.
  • Follow infection control and safety standards.

  • Full Time Schedules

  • Mon-Thur 0700-1700
  • TUES-FRI 10 HOUR SHIFTS
Duties

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Dentist.
  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
