Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s State Correctional Institution Camp Hill is seeking a Dentist to safeguard inmate dental health, deliver examinations, treatments, and lead a dental team. You will work a standard 37.5‑hour week (8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Mon–Fri) with no evenings or weekends, and you’ll be supported by PA licensure and state benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
• License to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodontal exams and provide restorative and preventative treatments.
• Explain medical histories, care instructions, and treatment plans to inmate patients.
• Direct the work of dental assistants and hygienists, offer training, and evaluate performance.
• Examine schedules, records, laboratory results, and grievances to maintain standards and improve quality.
• Manage inventory, approve new supply needs, and maintain proper security and tool control.
• Carry out additional assigned responsibilities as needed.
