Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from an approved program.
• Completion of an approved U.S. residency in Dental Medicine with emphasis on preventive and corrective dentistry.
• Current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania.
• Current unrestricted DEA certification to prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive professional dental treatment to incarcerated patients.
• Perform exams, extractions, restorations, prosthetics, prophylaxis, fluoride, and endodontic care.

We are currently seeking a Dentist to join our team at State Correctional Institution-Smithfield located in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. This position is for 37.5 hours/week, but would be open to considering part-time candidates.

The Dentist provides comprehensive professional dental treatment to address the oral health needs of incarcerated patients including routine recall exams, simple extractions, restorations, prosthetic services, prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and endodontic treatments.

Qualifications:

• Graduation with a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from aschool approved or recognized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
• Successful completion of an approved U.S. residency training program; with emphasis in the Dental Medicine, with emphasis on preventive and corrective dentistry and hygiene.
• Possession of a current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
• Possession of a current unrestricted certificate to prescribe medication from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
