Qualifications

• Licensed to practice dentistry in California.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Ampla Health clinic structure and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide general dentistry: preventive care, diagnosis, restorative work.
• Perform oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics.
• Refer orthodontic cases when necessary and follow clinic protocols.
• Maintain complete, legible treatment records and billing entries.
• Comply with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and stay updated on ICD codes.
• Maintain productivity standards and attend mandatory meetings.

Salary Range: $174,900.00 - $262,400.00 Salary

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Dentist is responsible for providing quality dental care for Ampla Health patients. Along with treating dental patient’s diseases, a strong emphasis shall be placed on the education and prevention of oral disease processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Practices general dentistry including:
   • Preventive care – OHI, sealants, etc.
   • Diagnosis- treatment plans, referrals, follow-ups
   • Restorative dentistry
   • Oral surgery
   • Periodontics
   • Endodontics
   • Prosthodontics – fixed and removable
2. Make specialty orthodontic referral recommendations when necessary
3. Follow clinic protocols
4. Maintains complete and legible records of treatment and initial or sign all chart entries
5. Complies with OSHA, and HIPPA guidelines
6. Stay updated on ICD diagnostic, and billing codes
7. Still maintain quality productivity standards as determined by the CDO
8. Meets all the contractual requirements
9. Attends mandatory meetings
10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Valid license to practice dentistry in the State of California
• Current DEA registration

• One year experience recommended
• Meets all CME requirements as required by the State of California
• Demonstrate clear knowledge of Ampla Health’s clinic structure, standards, procedures and protocols

COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS:

• Must have neat and legible handwriting
• Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly
• Must be able to interact with the public

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Works well with patients, co-worker and vendors in a generally comfortable environment office. Employee must possess the following physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels)
• Must have adequate vision to read memos, charts and other clinic documents
• Must have high manual dexterity
• Must be able to reach above shoulder level to work. Must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting, turning
• May be exposed to contagious/infectious diseases
