Ampla Health is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our dental team in delivering high-quality patient care in Yuba City, CA. The position involves clinical duties under supervision, in accordance with California dental regulations.

The RDA will assist with exams, charting, and basic procedures, take X-rays, and ensure patient comfort while supporting providers at Ampla Health locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid California RDA license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid X-ray certificate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Take x-rays, perform pulp testing, and size crowns/bands

QualificationsGENERAL PURPOSE:

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for performing all duties of a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and other functions legally allowed in the state of California.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Duties with general supervision:
• mouth mirror inspecting oral cavity, to include charting of obvious lesions, existing restorations and missing teeth
• Placement and removal of temporary sedative dressings
• Duties with direct supervision:
• Perform pulp test
• Sizes stainless steel crowns, temporary crowns and bands
• Placements of post-extractions and periodontal dressing
• Coronal polishing if certified by the state
• Sealants placement, if certified by the state
• Other Duties assigned by Supervisor
• Flexibility to work at other Ampla Health sites as needed

• Valid California RDA license

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Works well with patients in a generally comfortable environment office. Employees must possess the following physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels)
• Able to work on feet the majority of the day without tiring
• Must be able to hear adequately to auscultate B/PS
• Must have adequate vision to read x-rays
• Must be able to reach above shoulder level to work.
• Must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting, turning
• Must have high manual dexterity and tactile sensation on fingertips
