Job Summary

$120 per hour ($250,000 per year). ZERO HOUSING COSTS FOR ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT AND ANY EXTENSION/RENEWAL.

PCS is seeking experienced and adaptable general Dentist professionals for 13‑week travel assignments across various locations in South Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to provide high‑quality dental care in a Correctional Facility setting. 100% paid housing for the entire assignment and no housing costs while on the travel assignment. Part‑time roles are also available.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient‑care abilities, and flexibility to work in a correctional facility setting, ensuring seamless dental services for adult incarcerated individuals. Previous correctional facility experience is a plus. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a meaningful impact on patient health while advancing your professional skills through diverse assignments across multiple locations.

Duties
  • Deliver general dentistry care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for adult patients.
  • Perform preventive services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and patient education on oral health.
  • Conduct chairside assisting during various dental procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection‑control standards.
  • Take and interpret vital signs and medical imaging to assess patient health status.
  • Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize CorrecTek EMR systems for accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post‑treatment care to enhance understanding and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to infection‑control protocols, including proper sterilization and handling of dental instruments.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while working in secure environments, demonstrating excellent patient assessment skills.
