Damar Services is seeking a Dentist to build and grow dental services within an integrated healthcare team in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care to diverse patients while collaborating with medical and behavioral health professionals.

This on-site, full-time role offers growth opportunities, leadership supervision of a Dental Hygienist, and involvement in service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental education program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Indiana.
• Current DEA registration.
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care.
• Perform fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, root canal treatment, extractions, and corrective jaw surgery.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on oral health needs.
• Order, perform, and interpret dental imaging and diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment, preventive care, and ongoing oral health needs.
• Respond to dental emergencies and provide follow-up and referrals.
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight to the Dental Hygienist.
• Coordinate patient care with medical and behavioral health teams.
• Help develop and grow Damar’s dental services and clinical workflows.
• Support quality improvement focused on clinical quality and patient experience.

Damar Services is looking for a Dentist to help build and grow our dental services while providing high-quality, patient-centered care as part of an integrated healthcare team. Schedule

Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no weekends and no on-call Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care
• Perform procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, root canal treatment, tooth extractions, and corrective jaw surgery
• Assess patients’ oral health needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing and dental imaging
• Educate patients and caregivers on recommended treatment, preventive care, and ongoing oral health needs
• Respond to dental emergencies and provide appropriate treatment, follow-up, and referrals
• Provide individualized, patient-centered dental care to individuals with diverse medical, behavioral, developmental, and communication needs
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight to the Dental Hygienist
• Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Help develop and grow Damar’s dental services, including clinical workflows, protocols, and standards of care
• Support quality improvement efforts focused on clinical quality, patient safety, access to care, and the overall patient experience

Qualifications and Skills

• Required:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental education program
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Indiana
  • Current DEA registration
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

• Preferred:
  • Previous professional dental experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience in a community health, FQHC, integrated healthcare, or similar setting
  • Experience providing care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or other complex healthcare needs
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
