Position Summary

The General Dentist performs professional dental care in diagnosis and treatment of patients, adhering to Florida statutes and organizational policies.

Essential Functions

• Provide care in diagnosis, preventative, and restorative dentistry.
• Diagnose and treat dental and oral diseases.
• Apply principles, practices, methods, and techniques of dentistry.
• Implement preventative dentistry and educational methodologies.
• Perform oral operative techniques and maintain effective relationships with patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patient interactions.
• May work across multiple locations.

Knowledge and Experience

• Develop positive, professional relationships with patients and team members.
• Relate effectively to individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Navigate and document in electronic health records.

Education, Certification, and Licenses

• Graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Florida dental license.
• Continuing Education Credits as required by Florida Board of Dentistry, FDA, and TFHC.
