Job summary

Job Summary:

A dentist performs the evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and/or treatment (nonsurgical, surgical or related procedures) of diseases, disorders and/or conditions of the oral cavity, maxillofacial area and/or the adjacent and associated structures and their impact on the human body.

Job Duties:

• Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.Performsand/orinterpretsdiagnostic testsas needed.
• Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.May prescribeor administermedications.Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that includepatients’histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
