Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center is seeking an experienced administrative professional for a full-time, dayshift role. You will provide advanced administrative support to the department, manage calls, meetings, schedules, and correspondence, and assist with reports and presentations.

The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong computer literacy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment. Benefits are included from day one.

Full-time; Days 8am - 4:30pm; Monday - Friday.

Job Duties

Responsible for providing advanced administrative support to the department. Ensures advanced administrative activities to provide efficiency and organization to the department. Reporting structure: Associate Vice President / Medical Executive. Supports managers and department staff through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. May direct and lead the work of others. Daily responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, organizing meetings and schedules, producing and distributing correspondence, preparing reports and presentations, reconciling expense reports, assisting with projects, and providing other direct administrative support to the assigned office. Handles complex and sensitive operational issues and provides conflict resolution. Work is typically performed in an office environment.
