The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Dentist to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Columbus, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care for all. Your Role

• Provide complete dental care to patients to include preventive care, education, and required dental treatment
• Record patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record
• Educate patients in the use of appropriate prophylactic dental care, hygiene, and flossing techniques
• Participate in the decision-making processes concerning the delivery of dental health services provided by the health center
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes
• Participate in the dental department’s processes for quality measures and other data as required for local, state, and federal reporting

What We Are Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry with an unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Nebraska
• Current DEA license required
• Knowledge of public health principles and practices
• Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
• Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships
• Current certificate in BLS
• Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred but not required; if not bilingual, must have the ability to work with an interpreter if needed
