The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Behavioral Health Therapist to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Columbus, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care for all. Your Role
  • Provide behavioral health support to assist individuals in improving health status and disease management
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills, including telehealth assessment
  • Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and goals for the patient
  • Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team, as appropriate, to develop treatment goals for the patient
  • Complete necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with departmental standards and Federal and State regulations
  • Consult and cooperate with community systems to facilitate crisis management, advocacy, referral, and follow-up with the focus on attaining treatment goals
What We Are Looking For
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field
  • Current license in good standing as a Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska (LMHP, PLMHP, LIMHP, LCSW, PLCSW, MSW)
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental health disorders
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making skills appropriate to client care and safety
  • Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
  • Certification or Licensure to treat Drug and Alcohol disorders preferred
  • Training in crisis intervention and case management preferred
