Job summary

Northeast Valley Health is seeking a licensed Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to both adults and children in a community clinic setting.

The dentist will perform cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals and related procedures following established guidelines, with emphasis on age-appropriate care and preventive strategies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ADA-approved dental school.
• Current California License as a dentist and DEA number.
• 1+ year general dentistry in a community clinic.
• Ability to provide care across age groups.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental services for adults and children: cleaning, scaling, extractions, fillings and anterior root canals and other dentistry services as per guidelines.
• Demonstrate good judgment when a dental problem is beyond the clinic's scope of services.

Salary Range: $90.00 To $100.00 Hourly

Definition

The Dentist provides the following dental services for adult and children; cleaning, scaling, extractions, fillings and anterior root canals and other dentistry services according to medical staff practice guidelines. Demonstrates good judgment when a dental problem is beyond the scope of services provided in the clinic.

Reports to: Dental Director/Chief Medical Officer and Clinic Administrator

Qualifications

• Graduation from an American Dental Association (ADA) approved dental school.
• Current valid California License as a dentist and DEA number.
• One or more years practice of general dentistry in a community clinic setting.
• Preferably bilingual English/Spanish.
• Must demonstrate through written and/or oral testing, the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served and has knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• He or she is able to identify and categorize each patient's age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients.
