Job summary

Northeast Valley Health Corporation is seeking a Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care for both adults and children in a community clinic setting. The role requires adherence to clinical guidelines and collaboration with medical leadership.

The ideal candidate will hold an ADA-approved dental degree, possess a California dental license and a valid DEA number, and have at least one year of relevant practice. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to serve a diverse patient base.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ADA-approved dental school.
• Current California License as a dentist and a valid DEA number.
• One year or more of general dentistry practice in a community clinic setting.
• Preferably bilingual English/Spanish to support diverse patients.
• Ability to assess age-specific care needs across the lifespan (infant to geriatric).

Responsibilities

• Provide dental services for adults and children including cleaning, scaling, fillings, extractions, and anterior root canals per clinical guidelines.
• Exercise good judgment for conditions beyond the clinic scope and collaborate with the dental director as needed.

Definition

The Dentist provides the following dental services for adult and children; cleaning, scaling, extractions, fillings and anterior root canals and other dentistry services according to medical staff practice guidelines. Demonstrates good judgment when a dental problem is beyond the scope of services provided in the clinic.

Reports to

Dental Director/Chief Medical Officer and Clinic Administrator

Qualifications

• 1. Graduation from an American Dental Association (ADA) approved dental school.
• 2. Current valid California License as a dentist and DEA number.
• 3. One or more years practice of general dentistry in a community clinic setting.
• 4. Preferably bilingual English/Spanish.
• 5. Must demonstrate through written and/or oral testing, the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served and has knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• 6. He or she is able to identify and categorize each patient's age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients.
