Job summary

Avenue360 Health and Wellness in Houston seeks a Dental Treatment Coordinator to connect patients with dental services, ensure understanding of treatment plans, and manage financial responsibilities. You will verify insurance, collect payments, coordinate appointments, and maintain accurate EHR records to support high-quality care.

HS diploma or GED required; dental experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; vocational dental training can substitute for experience.
One year dental experience in a similar setting preferred.
Formal training from a vocational school in lieu of experience acceptable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with EHR systems desirable.
Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired; TSBDE license is a plus; CE hours annually.

Responsibilities

Monitor and guide patients through dental treatment plans and ensure timely completion within the 1-year goal.
Educate patients on treatment plans, oral health, and financial responsibilities to improve compliance.
Verify insurance eligibility (including Medicaid/Medicare) and collect co-pays and payments.
Schedule appointments, review daily schedules, and optimize patient flow.
Maintain accurate documentation in EHRs, ensuring privacy compliance.
Meet key performance goals for call center volumes and maintain service quality; cross-cover clinics as needed.
