Job summary

Noble Community Clinics in Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking a Dental Treatment Coordinator to help patients navigate their dental treatment plans from start to finish.

You’ll coordinate referrals, medical clearances, insurance authorizations, and financial arrangements, acting as the connection between patients, families, dental providers, and outside organizations. The role requires HIPAA awareness and teamwork to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment plans, and office processes.

  • Knowledge of dental insurance and estimating treatment costs.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative requirements to complete patient dental treatment plans.
  • Work with patients and guardians to facilitate completion of recommended treatment.
  • Coordinate referrals with outside healthcare providers and organizations.
  • Obtain medical clearances and coordinate required documentation.
  • Obtain treatment pre-authorizations through Medicaid (EDS) and private insurance plans.
  • Prepare and communicate estimated patient financial responsibilities for elective dental procedures.
  • Process referrals, medical clearances, prior authorizations, financial agreements, and custodial paperwork within established timelines.
  • Help patients understand the administrative and financial steps involved in their dental care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational privacy requirements.
  • Accurately document information within the EHR and scheduling systems.
  • Support Noble's quality improvement initiatives and team goals.
  • Work collaboratively with dental providers, clinical staff, patients, guardians, and outside organizations.

Are you organized, compassionate, and comfortable navigating the administrative side of dental care? Noble Community Clinics is looking for a Dental Treatment Coordinator to help patients successfully navigate their dental treatment plans from start to finish.

In this role, you’ll serve as an important connection between patients, families, dental providers, insurance companies, and outside healthcare organizations. You’ll help coordinate referrals, medical clearances, insurance authorizations, financial arrangements, and other requirements so patients can move forward with their recommended care.

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, dental treatment plans, and dental office processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, EHR, and scheduling systems.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and the ability to estimate patient treatment costs.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.

Preferred:

  • Education or experience in dental assisting, dental hygiene, or a related dental/healthcare field.
  • Experience with dental insurance, prior authorizations, referrals, or treatment coordination.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or dental clinic environment.
