Job summary

US Oral Surgery Management in Hartland, MI is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the surgeon during consultations and surgeries, support pre- and post-operative care, and help improve office efficiency. You will take vitals, prepare instruments, ensure safety and documentation, and maintain patient comfort throughout visits.

Strong communication and attention to detail are essential. 1 year of dental setting experience preferred; Basic CPR certification is required; Hepatitis B and TB

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Basic CPR certification required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination & TB vaccination/titer recommended.
• Oral and Maxillofacial Assisting/Dental Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Support: Assist the doctor during surgeries, seat patients, and take vitals; maintain competency in anesthesia monitoring and ensure consent forms are completed.
• Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients and obtain medical clearances.
• Adhere to OSHA and regulatory guidelines, ensure radiation protection, and produce radiographs with proper exposure techniques.
• Document and maintain accurate records/charting in compliance with standards.
• Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and instruments for procedures.
• Maintain rapport with patients, doctors, and team members; resolve conflicts constructively.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, clinic, and hospital information.
• Enhance the patient experience by ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout visits.
• Demonstrate flexibility with special projects and changing duties as needed.
