Specialty1 Partners' Chin Oral Surgery - Hoffman Estates is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join our busy dental specialty practice. You will prepare the surgical area, assist during procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires at least 3+ years of experience, proficiency in dental imaging and radiographs, and knowledge of instrument sterilization and OSHA standards. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as dental surgical assistant
• Proficient in dental imaging and radiographs
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Active state radiology license (if required by law)
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
• Facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed
