Specialty1 Partners is seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join Chin Oral Surgery – Hoffman Estates, a busy specialty practice.

You will prepare the surgical area and instruments, assist during procedures, monitor patient vitals, and provide clear post-operative instructions to patients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a dental surgical assistant.
• Proficient in dental imaging and radiographs.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Well-organized and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
• Facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
