Job summary

Asheville Dental Associates is seeking a dedicated Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. The role focuses on cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatory areas to meet OSHA and CDC guidelines, ensuring readiness for procedures.

You will maintain sterilization logs, assist with operatory turnover, manage inventory of supplies, and follow HIPAA and safety protocols. A high school diploma is required, and DA or DA II certification is preferred for operating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with sterilization procedures and infection control standards preferred.
• Must be a DA or DA II to operate sterilization equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment per OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Maintain sterilization logs and documentation
• Prepare operatories for procedures, including stocking and setting up trays with sterilized instruments
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of sterilization equipment
• Assist the dental team with operatory turnover between patients
• Manage inventory of sterilization supplies and notify supervisor when reordering is needed
• Comply with all infection control, HIPAA, and safety protocols
