Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Dental Assistant support role to help maintain a sterile and aseptic environment in the assigned dental office. The position supports dental assistants and providers under supervision, focusing on infection control, instrument processing, and equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, lab case handling, patient-room turnover, and accurate data entry in the dental information system.

Qualifications

• Must pass competency exam (Biological Monitors) at 85% within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registered Dental Assistant license (Washington).
• Must be 18 years of age or older; ability to work in a high activity environment and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize and process/store dental instruments per Infection Control Guidelines; perform weekly biological monitoring and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in restocking operatories; receive and ship dental lab cases; verify mailing slips and handle impressions/models.
• Assist in cleaning operatories after patient use and maintain an orderly laboratory; enter/select information in the dental information system; manage inventory and labeling per guidelines.
