Job summary

Marketplace Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics in Fresno, CA is seeking a Specialty Healthcare Coordinator (SHC) to partner with Specialists and help patients commit to recommended treatment. You will educate patients on financial options, support scheduling, and maintain a Perfect Patient Experience.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, travel between offices, and strong knowledge of office practices, insurance, and data-driven processes.

• Travel between offices may be required.

Responsibilities

• Models company culture, values, standards and best practices.
• Gains a financial commitment from the patient to start the treatment.
• Achieves proficiency in PDS system and tools to assist patients in making decisions.
• Prioritization of Specialty coordination and consultation for treatment plans with specialty.
• Proactive management of Specialists’ schedules to keep them full and productive.
• Acts as liaison for office and specialty teams and coordinates communications and follow-ups.
• Understand and utilize financial options to give patients choices within their budget.
• Overcome objections to starting treatment prior to specialty appointment.
• Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
• Understand specialty goals and metrics and assist with reporting.
• Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand.
• Becomes knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and supports clinical excellence.
• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor per company policies.
• Ensures compliance with Company policies and regulatory bodies.
• Other duties as assigned
