The UCLA School of Dentistry invites applications for the position of Assistant Project Scientist in the Division of Preventive and Restorative Sciences, Section of Restorative Dentistry, beginning on or about November 1, 2026. This is a paid, 100% time, non-Senate, non-tenure track position.

A PhD degree and a minimum of 4 years of post-graduate level laboratory research experience is required for this position.

Qualifications

• PhD degree and a minimum of 4 years of post-graduate level laboratory research experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments related to research projects in oral diseases including medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw and implant presence-triggered osteonecrosis.
• Execute animal experiments including tail-vein injections, uCT scanning/analysis and immunohistochemical staining/analysis.
• Collaborate with senior faculty and assist with manuscript writing and grant writing as needed.
