Community First Health Centers has opened a new dental operation at our New Haven medical facility, and we are growing! We are currently seeking an exceptional Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and a team player. Under the supervision of the Dental Practice Manager, you will support dental clinic operations by performing clerical functions such as collecting and updating patient information, answering phones, and addressing patient questions.

This position will be located at our New Haven, MI medical facility, 58144 Gratiot Avenue. It is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, working 4 days based on clinic and patient needs.

Daily Responsibilities of Our Dental Receptionist:
  • Answer incoming calls politely, screening and forwarding as necessary
  • Greet clients, assist with questions, check-in/out, payments, and printing visit summaries and return-to-work/school documents
  • Make and adjust client appointments accurately
  • Enter, update, and verify client information in the system
  • Efficiently triage patient needs
  • Scan forms into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Verify insurance information, client identity, and obtain signatures
  • Educate and enroll clients in the patient portal
  • Complete billing in the EMR to reconcile errors
  • Follow office opening/closing procedures, including handling receipts and balances
  • Promote awareness of agency programs and services
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences as needed
  • Sign for deliveries, paying attention to special requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
