Position Summary
The Dental Receptionist reports to the Dental Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring patients have a current treatment plan and assisting with coordination of financial resources and insurance requirements. The position serves as a primary point of contact for patients and assists with greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, collecting payments, coordinating treatment plans, and performing other administrative functions that support the delivery of quality dental care. Supports and follows the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of Family Healthcare of Hagerstown.

Physical and Mental Effort
Minimum physical effort required. Intermittent sitting with freedom of movement. Occasional walking, bending, reaching, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate computers, telephones, calculators, photocopiers, and other office equipment. Environmental and Working Conditions
Work is performed in a modern, well-equipped healthcare environment. Daily interaction with patients, providers, dental staff, family members, community partners, and external organizations is required. Frequent use of computers, telephones, electronic health records, and office equipment is expected.
Employees may have exposure to biological hazards, communicable illnesses, and other healthcare-related risks. Employees are required to utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all infection control, OSHA, CDC, MOSH, organizational safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
