Job summary

Coast Dental seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support the periodontist in clinical procedures, patient education, and administrative tasks. You will ensure infection control, maintain records, and assist with scheduling and patient communication in a fast-paced dental office.

Required EFDA certification, Radiography licensure, and at least one year of dental experience; willingness to travel between practices and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
• Radiography licensure.
• Minimum of one year dental experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist periodontist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Maintain OSHA safety guidelines and MSDS documentation.
• Document and chart all dental procedures per dentist's instructions.
• Welcome and escort patient to and from treatment areas; schedule appointments.
• Travel between practices to assist periodontist.
