Socket.dev seeks a Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering patient care and maintaining smooth office workflow. EFDA certification and radiography licensure are required, with Florida RDA/CDA pathways noted for eligibility.

Qualifications

Active EFDA certification required.
Florida license options: RDA or CDA obtained prior to May 2009 per state guidelines.
Radiography licensure required.
Minimum of one-year dental experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in clinical procedures and treatments.
Learn and comply with OSHA laws and safety guidelines.
Maintain MSDS and infection control standards.
Document medical histories and signed consent forms.
Greet and escort patients, schedule appointments, and confirm visits.
Explain dental treatments, insurance benefits, and financial options to patients.
Maintain equipment and inventory, and report safety concerns.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality.
