Job summary

Ultradent Products Inc. seeks a Dental Materials Research Scientist to join our R&D team at our Salt Lake City headquarters.

The ideal candidate has a master’s degree and at least two years of research experience, with strong emphasis on polymeric and photopolymer systems and materials characterization. The role involves developing and testing hypotheses, working with an interdisciplinary team to create new dental materials and devices, and advancing ideas from concept to prototype.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a related field (polymer, composites, chemistry, or materials science).
• BS in a related field with 2+ years of research experiences preferred.
• Ability to communicate results orally, in writing, or via presentation.
• Motivated to work with a multifunctional team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test scientific hypotheses independently or with minimal guidance to achieve product performance.
• Knowledge of structure-property-processing–composition relationships in materials.
• Experience with polymeric and/or photo-cured systems is preferred.
• Make and characterize materials in a chemical laboratory.
