Job summary

Bedi Dental Group in Concord, MA is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our established practice. You will work with dentists to create treatment plans, perform cleanings, take X-rays, and maintain patient records while building strong patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have state licensure to practice dental hygiene and meet state requirements.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Experience with prophylaxis and taking X-rays; ability to review patient health and dental history forms.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene treatment to patients.
• Review daily schedule with the patient care coordinator for hygiene patients.
• Review patient health and dental history forms and update as necessary.
• Perform scaling, root planing and selective polishing.
• Polish restorations.
• Take radiographs as prescribed by dentist.
• Gather and review patient charts for the day.
• Maintain a supply inventory for hygiene treatments.
• Maintain a clean and sterilized treatment room per OSHA regulations.
• Apply cavity-preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants.
• Accurately record provided treatments.
• Teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients.
• Counsel patients on oral health and nutrition.
