Job summary

Bedi Dental Group in Worcester, MA is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our established practice. You will work with dentists to develop treatment plans, perform cleanings, take X-rays, apply preventative agents, and maintain patient records while building strong relationships with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice Dental Hygiene and meet state requirements.
• Completion of at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Experience with dental assisting specific to periodontics.
• Experience providing prophylaxis and taking radiographs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with patients, dentists and coworkers.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with dental software.
• Open Dental knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene treatment to patients.
• Review daily schedule with care coordinator for hygiene patients.
• Review patient health and dental history forms and update as needed.
• Perform scaling, root planing and selective polishing as appropriate.
• Polish restorations.
• Take radiographs as prescribed by the dentist.
• Gather and review patient charts for the day.
• Maintain inventory for hygiene treatments.
