Qualifications

• Valid Vermont RDH license and active credential.
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program required.
• Proficiency with Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft and CAD.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to dental care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling and polishing.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care strategies.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision.
• Assist dentists during procedures by providing instruments and materials.

Requirements

• Software Experience: Dentrix, Open Dental
• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Vermont
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Solid understanding of dental office procedures, HIPAA regulations, and patient confidentiality
• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and CAD
• Familiarity with dental assisting techniques and procedures
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to dental care
