Job summary

Dentistry For Kids in Monroeville, PA is seeking a dental hygienist to support the dentist and team across a range of procedures. You will counsel and screen patients, educate on oral health, sterilize equipment, remove plaque, and assist in all aspects of care.

Candidates should hold a dental hygiene degree, have PA license or be pending, CPR certification, and be comfortable with radiographic procedures and computer tasks. Full- and part-time positions available.

Qualifications

• Degree in dental hygiene from a recognized university.
• Pennsylvania hygiene license or pending license.
• Up-to-date CPR certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, interpersonal).
• Ability to perform radiographic procedures.
• Comfortable with a wide range of computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients during examinations and treatments.
• Screen patients, including mouth and neck examination and history review.
• Educate patients on tooth and gum care and diet impact on oral health.
• Sterilize dental devices and equipment.
• Remove plaque, clean teeth, and prevent gum disease.
• Assist the dentist in all aspects of dental care.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry.
• Gather and review patients’ medical and dental histories.
• Document procedures thoroughly in dental records.
