Job Summary

The Registered Dental Hygienist directs oral hygiene care for KPDCP members, including comprehensive prevention, maintenance, therapeutic dental treatment, and/or restorative services. The RDH educates members about their oral health status, motivating them to achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

Responsibilities

1. Provide direct patient oral hygiene care, including prevention, maintenance, and therapeutic/restorative dental services.
2. Document patient oral health data in compliance with policies.
3. Provide oral hygiene education and instructions.
4. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical work environment.
5. Support other office functions during downtime, fostering a positive work environment.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with at least an associate's degree in applied science.

Licenses and Certifications

• Dental Hygienist License (Oregon)
• National Provider Identifier
• Basic Life Support certification

Additional Requirements

• Note: WA Initial and Renewable Limited Licenses are not acceptable.
• Local anesthesia endorsement for Oregon license; included in Washington license.
• Daily use of X-ray equipment, ultrasonic scalers, and handpieces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nitrous oxide permit.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control.
• Basic computer skills.
• Restorative function endorsement (included in Washington license).

Work Schedule

4/10 schedule: Monday to Thursday, variable Saturday, days and times vary.
