Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Dental Hygienist for Sterling, Colorado. The role offers local pay at $71.50 per hour on a 1099 basis, with a day shift in a correctional healthcare setting.

The hygienist will perform cleanings, X-rays, patient education, fluoride applications, and assist dentists while maintaining records and following OSHA guidelines. Strong licensure and PSV documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid CO dental hygiene license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent dental hygienist experience in the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing.
• Assess oral health and identify signs of dental conditions.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as allowed by state regulations.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as authorized.
• Assist dentists with examinations and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records and histories.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a safe environment.
• Follow infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.

Shift Details:

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain patients' oral health.

• Assess patients' oral health and identify signs of gum disease or other dental conditions.

• Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, and preventive dental care.

• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive procedures as authorized.

• Assist dentists with examinations and treatment planning.

• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and dental histories.

• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment.

• Follow infection control protocols, OSHA guidelines, and facility policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as aDental Hygienist in the last 3 years.

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,..)
