Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist for a position in Lillington, NC. The role offers local pay at $50.44/hour (W2) and requires an active North Carolina license with at least one year of recent experience.

You will perform dental cleanings, take radiographs, educate patients, and maintain meticulous records in a correctional healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a Dental Hygienist within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain patients' oral health.
• Assess patients' oral health and identify signs of gum disease or other dental conditions.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, and preventive dental care.
• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive procedures as authorized.
• Assist dentists with examinations and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and dental histories.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment.
• Follow infection control protocols, OSHA guidelines, and facility policies.

Shift Details:

• Prefer Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00am-4:30pm

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a Dental Hygienist within the last 3 years.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
